Learn How to Reset Vaulty Password
Here’s what you can do to regain access to your vault if you forget your password.
Use Password Reset
You can reset your password using the answer to the security question you set. Vaulty has the option to disguise itself as other apps. The way you reset your password depends on which login method you have configured.
Normal Password Screens
If you’re using the normal password screens and haven’t enabled the secret door feature, you can tap the text that says “reset password” and then enter the correct answer to your security question.
Calculator Door
The calculator door disguises Vaulty as a working calculator app. To log in you enter the pin and then hold the ”=” button.
Stocks Door
Vaulty can also be disguised as a stocks look up app. To log in, enter the text password and tap search. If anything besides the password is entered, Vaulty looks up the text entered as a stock online.
Contact Us
If you’re unable to reset your password using the methods above or need additional help, contact support from inside the app if you can still open it: go to Menu > Settings > About and tap Email us. Your message will include diagnostic logs that help us figure out what’s going on. If you can’t open the app, email us at help@vaultyapp.com.
IMPORTANT NOTES
- Vaulty is built for privacy and we do not have access to your content so we cannot recover anything for you.
- Content is only stored on your device by default. If you do not enable the online backup feature, your content will not be automatically synced between devices.
- For privacy reasons, Vaulty does not have an account that is registered with us. You can use it without us having any specific information about you. Consequently, there is no account to restore content with or unlock for you.
