Manually Back Up or Transfer Vaulty Files
If you prefer not to use Google Drive sync or want a second backup, you can manually copy your Vaulty files to another location. Hereβs how.
π± Where Files Are Stored on Your Phone
Vaulty saves hidden files in this folder:
Documents/Vaulty/data
Each file is renamed and saved in .vdata
format to protect your privacy.
Note: For performance and compatability reasons, Vaulty uses a bunch of folders with short names to separate the files stored in the
data
folder.
π¦ What to Move
To back up all your hidden files:
- Open a file manager app.
- Navigate to:
Internal Storage > Documents > Vaulty
- Copy the entire
Vaulty
folder to your computer, cloud storage, or external device.
π To Transfer to Another Device
- Copy the
Vaulty
folder to the new phone using:- USB cable
- SD card
- On the new phone, place the folder in the same location:
Documents/Vaulty
- Open Vaulty and your files will appear once scanned.
π Be sure to move the files before uninstalling Vaulty on the original device or doing a factory reset.
