Check if Vaulty Synced Your Files to Google Drive
If you’ve enabled online backup in Vaulty, your hidden files are automatically saved to your Google Drive in a private format. Here’s how to check that everything is working as expected.
🔍 Where to Look
- Open Google Drive on your mobile device or a web browser.
- Make sure you’re signed into the Google account you want to check.
- Look for a folder named
appdata
and open it. - Inside there should be a folder named
Vaulty
.
If you’re unable to find those folders, Vaulty hasn’t backed up to that Google Drive account.
📁 What You’ll Find
- Inside the Vaulty folder, you’ll see a list of files with the
.vdata
extension. - These are your hidden files. Their names are obfuscated for your privacy.
- Vaulty uses metadata in the file descriptions to match them with your vault.
⚠️ Do not delete or rename these files! It will cause data loss during syncing.
✅ What If You Don’t See Files?
- Make sure online backup is enabled in Vaulty.
- Confirm you are logged in to the same Google account you used in Vaulty.
- Tap Sync Now in Vaulty settings to trigger an immediate sync.
